This Year's Project: 24/7 Nurse Chat-Line

About Our Organization

Her Health empowers women and their partners facing unintended pregnancies to make healthy, informed and livable choices. We provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD testing all at no charge to our clients. Her Health also provides education to young people in area schools and organizations about healthy relationships and online safety/minor sex trafficking awareness and prevention.

Current Project: 24/7 Nurse Chat-Line

24/7 Nurse Chat-Line now available!

Womens with an unplanned pregnancy are seeking immediate information and support. We now have a service where women can chat with a nurse right from their phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The nurse is able to answer any questions and make an in person appointment in Sioux City or Le Mars for them as soon as the next day. This is an amazing service we are now able to provide and help empower women to make healthy and informed decisions.

Thank you for helping us make this service possible for Siouxland.

Past Projects

  • Healthy Relationships Education

    Project Details

Healthy Relationships are essential for life success, and therefore, relationship education is a VITAL component for equipping students to thrive. The need to connect, feel affirmed, be valued, respected and loved is a natural part of the human experience. And yet, so many young people have not learned a healthy way to fulfill this need. They are bombarded with confusing messages about how healthy relationships look.  The consequences of this confusion are obvious in Siouxland with dating violence, teen suicide, bullying, teen pregnancy and skyrocketing STD rates.

The Healthy Relationship program empowers students in schools, youth programs or church youth groups, using research-based, interactive curriculum,  the ESTEEM curriculum, to guide them in making wise relationship choices which will affect their lives today and their future successes. The goals and lessons of the program include topics such as Online Safety Education and the awareness of potential dangers and empowering teens to make good, healthy relationship choices and setting boundaries in those relationships.

Funds will be used for training and certification of an additional educator,  printed workbooks and student take-home materials which reinforce the concepts of the lessons.

  • Online Safety & Healthy Relationships Education

    Project Details

The need to connect, feel affirmed, be valued and respected is a natural part of the human experience. And yet, many young people have not learned a healthy way to fulfill this need. They are bombarded with confusing messages through online activity and dysfuntional relationships about how healthy relationships work.

The consequences of this confusion are obvious in the exponetial growth of unplanned pregnancies, STD's, teen suicide, dating abuse, and our students being exploited and trafficked online.

Her Health Women's Center's Healthy Relationships Educators will be equipping and educating students in schools and organizations all over Siouxland to help guide them in making wise relationship choices for their online and in-person realtionships - thus affecting their lives today and their future success.

The money raised for this project will go toward materials and equipment to enhance and prepare for Healthy Relationships presentations, as well as producing messages to be available to students and teachers online.

Most importantly, the money raised will go toward educating and protecting our most valuable resource, our children, from the risks of online predators/sex traffickers and helping enhance their future choices in relationships that propel them forward toward successful lives.

  • Healthy Relationship Education

    Project Details

Our desire is to go to schools, youth organizations, churches - wherever young people are gathered - and provide education which empowers students to make healthy choices in their everyday and intimate relationships. The program we offer, whether it be one class or a series of lessons, will help alleviate negative, risky behaviors in our adolescents, and will positively affect prospects for their future. Healthy relationships are essential to life success, and therefore, relationship education is a vital component for equipping students to thrive. We want to maximize relational wellness in our community of youth.
