This Year's Project: Le Mars Little League Tries To Recover From Floods

LeMars Little League started in 1951 with 4 teams and 15 businessmen donating $50/yr for 3 years. We now have 64 teams and roughly 685 kids participating each year. The objective of Le Mars Little League shall be to implant firmly in the youth of the community the ideals of Good Sportsmanship, Honesty, Loyalty, Courage and Respect. We believe every child shall have the opportunity to play the game of Baseball and Softball no matter what their skill level is.

Current Project: Le Mars Little League Tries To Recover From Floods

On Sept. 21 the Le Mars Little League was hit hard by the heavy flooding, the entire John Britton Complex was under 5 feet of water. The flood destroyed all their 64 teams equipment along with uniforms, concession stand and field equipment. Now they’re picking up the pieces to help repair and restore the long time sports complex.
