This Year's Project: Transportation for people with serious mental illnesses (SMI)

To provide affordable quality mental health services to the people of the communities we serve, respecting each individual’s dignity, worth, and potential for growth. Insuring an environment of confidentiality and dedication – we put our people first.

Current Project: Transportation for people with serious mental illnesses (SMI)

Plains Area Mental Health is hoping to raise $40,000. With these funds we are going to purchase a van to use for day habilitation transportation for people with serious mental illnesses (SMI). This will allow us to reliably transport clients and remove barriers that prevent them from accessing services offered. It will also allow this service to further assist persons with SMI to experience activities and social events that they would not normally be able to access. Nobody should be ashamed & nobody should be shamed for seeking mental health services. Mental health disorders are like medical disorders they are treatable & should be considered no different -Kim Keleher CEO Plains Area
